What's in the free trial?

All of tak, for 7 days, with no card and no account. Set it up, live with it for a week, then decide. If you buy, you just enter your key and it's yours for good. If you don't, nothing breaks: your last wallpaper simply stays.

How long does it take to set up?

About a minute. Install it, paste the link to a board, and your desktop fills with your pins in a few seconds. After that there's nothing to do: keep pinning and tak keeps up.

Will I notice it running?

Only when you look at your desktop. tak is lightweight: it sits quietly in the background, waits while you play or present in full screen, and holds back on battery saver so your laptop lasts.

Can I put a different board on each screen?

Yes. Work references on one monitor, something calmer on the other. Every screen gets a grid sized to it, and any screen can have a board of its own.

Can it show my board on the lock screen too?

Yes. Switch it on in Settings and your board is the first thing you see when you open your laptop, under the Windows clock. Switch it off and your old lock screen picture comes back.

Can I use a secret board?

tak works with public boards: it gets your pins through Pinterest's embed service, which can't see secret ones. Making a board public takes a few seconds (here's how). tak shows its 50 or so newest pins, so whatever you save next appears on its own.

Is my Pinterest account safe?

tak never asks for your Pinterest password and can't post, pin or follow anything. It only looks at the public board you give it, the way any visitor would.

What if it's not for me?

Then you lose nothing. Within 14 days of buying you get a full refund, and one click in Settings puts your old wallpaper back. Uninstalling does the same.

Windows shows a blue warning when I open the installer. Is that normal?

Yes. Windows shows it for new apps it hasn't seen many downloads of yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The install guide shows each step.

I'm on my phone right now. Can I still get it?

Yes. Buy it here with Apple Pay or Google Pay and we'll email you the key and an installer link to open on your PC. Or have the free trial link sent to your inbox, ready for when you're at your computer.

Is there a Mac version?

It's on the way. Leave your email and you'll hear the day it's out.
