Terms, licence and refunds

Who you're buying from

tak is made by something, a creative haus (hello@somethinghaus.com). Orders are sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record: they take the payment, issue your receipt, handle VAT and process refunds.

Your licence

• You can try tak free for 7 days before buying. After that, it keeps your last wallpaper but stops changing it until you add a licence key.
• Price: $15, or the $9 launch price shown on the website until the date it states. It is a one-time payment for a lifetime licence: no subscription, and it never expires. Prices include VAT where it applies.
• One purchase lets one person use tak on up to 3 Windows PCs they own or use.
• You can move a licence to another computer with Remove from this PC in tak › Settings › License.
• All 1.x updates are included. A future 2.0 may be a paid upgrade; 1.x keeps working.
• You may not resell, share or publish your licence key.

Refunds

If tak isn't for you, write to hello@somethinghaus.com within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you in full. No questions, no forms. Your EU consumer rights apply on top of this and are never reduced by it.

Your boards and their images

tak displays pictures from the public boards you pick, on your own computer, for your own use. The images belong to their creators. Don't use tak to republish or sell other people's work.

Pinterest

tak has no connection with Pinterest, Inc. It uses Pinterest's public embed feature. If Pinterest changes or withdraws that feature, tak may stop updating until we release a fix; we'll make reasonable efforts to do so.

Warranty and liability

We build tak carefully and test it on Windows 10 and Windows 11, but we can't promise it works with every setup. Within the limits of the law, our liability is limited to the price you paid. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Disputes

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights consumer law gives you where you live. If something goes wrong, write to hello@somethinghaus.com first; we answer every message. For anything about a payment or a receipt you can also contact Lemon Squeezy directly from your order email.
